DEVELOPMENT STUDIES (MPHIL /PHD)

Applicants to the MPhil programme must meet all admission requirements of the Board of Graduate studies. Preference is given to applicants with 1st class and 2nd class Upper Division degrees.

SANDWICH(M.A.)HRM,HRD,EMP,DGLD,GSD

Applicants to M.A. Sandwich Programmes must be Upper or middle level personnel who also meet the admission requirements of Board of Graduate Studies of the University of Cape Coast. They must be assured of sponsorship.

M.PHIL ( PEACE and DEVELOPMENT STUDIES)

To be eligible for admission, candidates must:

* have a bachelor’s degree with at least Second Class Lower Division
*pass an interview

M.A. (DEVELOPMENT and MANAGEMENT)

In order to be eligible for admission, candidates must:

* Have a bachelor’s degree ( with at least second Class Lower Division)
* Have a minimum of two years working experience in a related field
* Pass an interview

Programme Requirements

To obtain the M.A. the students must successfully complete 30 credit hours of course work, plus a dissertation over two sandwich semesters.

LABOUR STUDIES (POST GRADUATE/DIPLOMA CERT )

Eligibility Requirements

Applicants seeking admission to the Postgraduate Certificate in Labour Policy Studies must have a first degree in any subject area, and a minimum work experience of three years.

Special Admissions

Applicants who do not have a first degree but are otherwise adjudged suitable may be admitted. Such applicants should:

1. Be at least 35 years
2. Be working in leadership positions or have special knowledge and considerable experience (at least 5 years) in labour and trade union management
3. Have at least GCE or SSCE Ordinary Level Certificate, West African General Certificate; East African Certificate of Education, Cambridge Overseas Higher School Certificate, University of London Certificate of Education, Ethiopian School Leaving Certificate, Ghana Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination, Tanzania Certificate of Secondary Education Examination, Kenyan Certificate of Secondary Education and the International Baccalaureate with a pass in English Language and Mathematics or their equivalent.
4. Such applicants will be required to provide:
* Certificates and detailed transcripts of their educational background
*A write-up on the benefit of the course to their professional career that will satisfy the admission board as regards their ability to pursue the course with profit.
